Unlike the other coasts of Spain described within this website, the Costa Blanca is not part of the southern part of Spain.
The Costa Blanca runs from Torrevieja through the city of Alicante and past the popular resort towns of Benidorm, Altea and Jávea up to the port of Denia from where you may take the ferry to the Balearic Islands. One of the reasons that the World Health Organisation considers this region to have one of the healthiest climates in the world is the more than 320 days of sunshine and an average daily temperature of 19 degrees.
The Costa Blanca has long been a popular area for those interested in buying Spanish property and there is a large community of foreign residents living along its length.
Property prices along the Costa Blanca are cheaper than on the Costa del Sol, though in some of the more expensive areas such as Altea they can be comparable.
The property market on the Costa Blanca remains constant and Spanish property sales of all types of properties are increasing steadily. As is the case with Andalucia, the infrastructure of the Costa Blanca is constantly being improved, as are the facilities and amenities.
